Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Blitz Ventures, Inc. ("Blitz Ventures," "EnergyBot," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses and discloses personal information. It applies to the EnergyBot website at www.energybot.com and its subdomains, the EnergyBot app available inside third-party AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude (each an "AI Assistant"), and our other interactions with you (together, the "Services").

EnergyBot helps people compare electricity plans and enroll in a plan with an electricity provider. Enrolling in a plan is limited to adults 18 and older.

This policy does not cover what electricity providers, AI Assistant operators or other third-party sites do with information you give them directly; their own privacy policies govern that.

1. Information we collect

  • Plan search information: ZIP code, estimated monthly usage, and plan preferences such as contract length. Collected when you search for plans on our website or through the EnergyBot app.
  • Enrollment information: Such as name, service address, email, phone number, and, for Texas plans, the date of birth and Social Security number the electricity provider needs for a credit check. Collected when you enroll in a plan on energybot.com.
  • Communications: Messages and support requests. Collected when you contact us or we contact you.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, date and time of access, and how you interact with our pages. Collected automatically, through server logs, cookies, pixels and similar technologies on our website.

Sources. We get this information directly from you, including details you enter in an enrollment form before you finish or submit it; automatically from your browser or device; and from AI Assistants that pass your plan search to us.

2. The EnergyBot app in AI Assistants

The EnergyBot app in AI Assistants only searches for electricity plans. Through the AI Assistant, the app does not collect your name, contact information, Social Security number, date of birth or other enrollment information. If you choose to enroll in a plan, you leave the AI Assistant and complete enrollment on energybot.com.

What the app receives: a ZIP code and, if provided, monthly electricity usage (kWh), contract length, supplier name and plan title. We also receive the name of the AI Assistant you are using, which we use for app operation, usage measurement and referral attribution.

What it returns: available plans with prices, estimated monthly bills, contract terms, plan documents and a link to enroll on energybot.com. The enrollment link includes the selected plan, the ZIP code searched and the AI Assistant used.

How we use and keep it: we use this information to provide plan-search results, operate and secure the app, measure use of the app, and attribute referrals. App request data is retained in our server logs for 30 days and then deleted.

Your conversation with the AI Assistant is governed by the AI Assistant provider's privacy policy, such as OpenAI's or Anthropic's.

3. How we use information

  • Provide the Services: find and compare plans, calculate estimates, and complete the enrollment you request.
  • Communicate with you: respond to questions, send enrollment confirmations and service notices, send marketing emails and texts, and send reminders if you start an enrollment but don't finish it.
  • Improve the Services: analyze usage, fix problems and develop features.
  • Advertising: measure and improve our advertising, as described in Section 5.
  • Security and legal compliance: protect the Services, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Email and text messages. You can unsubscribe from marketing email with the link in any message, or stop marketing texts by replying STOP; message and data rates may apply. You will still receive transactional messages after opting out of marketing.

4. How we disclose information

  • The electricity provider you choose: to enroll you and start service.
  • Service providers: hosting, security, analytics, appointment scheduling, and email and text message delivery.
  • Advertising partners: ad measurement and targeted advertising, as described in Section 5.
  • Government and legal recipients: to comply with law or legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of users, the public or EnergyBot.
  • A successor business: if EnergyBot is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

5. Targeted advertising

Advertising partners collect information through cookies and pixels on our website, such as device and cookie identifiers, IP address, pages viewed and actions like starting or completing an enrollment, to measure our ads and show our ads to people who visited our website. State privacy laws may treat this as a "sale" or as targeted advertising.

Your choices. To opt out of targeted advertising, email operations@energybot.com with the subject "Ad opt-out." We will confirm when your request is complete. You can also limit ad tracking by blocking or deleting cookies, using your browser's tracking protection, or changing your ad settings with the advertising platforms.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses cookies, pixels and similar technologies for security and site operation, analytics, session recording (which captures how you interact with our pages), advertising and conversion measurement, and embedded content such as review widgets. Our emails may contain web beacons that show whether they were opened.

Your choices. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; if you do, some features of our website may not work.

7. Data retention and security

Retention. App request data is retained in our server logs for 30 days and then deleted. We keep other personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, or longer when the law requires it or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.

Security. We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption, to protect personal information.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including Texas, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal information and get a copy of it.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete your personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information and targeted advertising.

How to make a request. Email operations@energybot.com or write to the address below. We may need to verify your identity, and an authorized agent may submit a request for you where the law allows. We respond within 45 days, or tell you if we need up to 45 more.

Appeals. If we decline your request, we will explain why. You can appeal by emailing us with the subject "Privacy Rights Appeal," and we will respond within 60 days. Texas residents may then contact the Texas Attorney General.

No discrimination. We will not deny you service, charge you more, or give you a lower quality of service for exercising these rights.

9. Other information

Children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. When enrollment requires a date of birth, it must show you are at least 18.

Changes. We will post any update here and change the Last Updated date.
